Coming Together

We are delighted with the location for the bench.   Thank you Andy, for suggesting that the Chapman Bench be installed in this clearing.  It is not far from the pavilion where there are several tables lined up; a great spot  for a larger group.   This will be a great spot for a small group or a single person to enjoy.

Thank you A&M students and staff for affixing the tiles to the bench….maybe the last tile was applied at the moment that Andy and Scott shook hands on this site!

Ah, what could be better…a lovely, inviting area for families to enjoy a picnic before discovering beautiful Land Trust trails!

The one-of-a-kind bench decorated by the next generation of those who will protect vital greenspace adds a bit more magic to these preserved acres.

Thank you to all involved for the gift of your time and talents. The Land Trust is honored to be a partner in this project and is proud you chose our Monte Sano Preserve as the home for the Chapman Elementary bench.

Hi! My name is Hannah and I also made a tile for the bench at Chapman Elementary. It was really fun to make and fun to see the bench at the Land Trust when we went on a field trip there later on. I think it was a great way to open up our minds and. . . paint! We painted the tiles with our wonderful art teacher Mrs. Fine. She worked really hard to get our tiles on the bench. So thanks Mrs. Fine!!!!! I thank you all very much! I can’t wait to grow up and one day go back there and see my bench. It is truly a once in a life time event. By the way, hi Chelsie and all of my friends!
